End of a Good Air Show Season

The 2011 air show season is over for me. Watsonville and Livermore were my last two shows of the year. Both were fun to fly and I had great responses from the crowd. I was supposed to perform once more at Redlands CA but the show was cancelled. Now it is time to start getting the plane ready for the 2012 air show season. I felt really privileged to have a nice article in the October issue of AOPA Pilot and another in the Fall issue of InterView for Health and Vitality, a California health magazine. The next event is the International council of Air Shows in December. Then in January 2012 I will start the season with the Cable Air Show in Upland CA on January 7-8.

Fun Shows

It has been a while since I posted here. Not much of a writer I guess. But in the last few weeks I performed in two great air shows, Hollister CA and Golden West Fly-In/Airshow. Both were lots of fun for me and I think for the audiences. I am always amazed at how many complements I get. I do thank all those people and feel privileged that people enjoy my performances so much. Golden West was unique as we performers were three females and me. Probably the first time that has ever happened. We called it "Three Gals and a Guy" just for fun. There are pictures on my Facebook Wall.

Spring is Close

Riverside Air Show went really well. Despite the weather being cool and some overcast there was a really large crowd. The overcast was high enough and broken to allow all the performers and military fly-bys to "do their thing". It looks like my next show will be Hollister on May 28-29. Last year was the first year of that show and it went well. This year it looks like it will be a really good show as the city and airport people have really got behind the show. Until then I will be practicing and enjoying the spring weather.
